Who We Need
Brightwell is searching for a Product Manager, API to join our crew. As our ideal Product Manager, you will provide thoughtful insight into creating and growing a new FinTech product. Bringing a diverse skill set, including the strategic and visionary skills necessary to define product needs and hands-on tactical abilities, will help bridge the gap between various functional areas within the company. As a Product Manager, you will execute on the vision, ensuring the product is of the highest caliber and will continue to push the boundaries of what technology can do to make a difference in the world of our customers. You will work with us to re-imagine money and money movement around the globe for all.
**This is a REMOTE position, based in the U.S. Some travel will be required.** Eligible states of residence: CO, FL, GA, IL, TX

What You’ll Do
- Manage a new B2B remittance product from ideation through development to launch, growth and maintenance.
- Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences.
- Partner with Director of Product to develop a multi-year vision for the product.
- Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing; utilize both qualitative customer insights and quantitative customer data to inform decisions.
- Develop and own metrics to monitor and quantify the impact of the new product that you launch.
- Use site metrics, stakeholder interviews, and industry trends to identify product enhancements and opportunities.
- Align with engineering to understand technical implementation complexities and challenges of enabling unregulated entities through APIs, SDKs, and process automation.
- Actively participate in the agile product development process.
- Build and own the backlog the dev team works and delivers from.
- Write and communicate release notes across all required channels and to all appropriate parties.
- Take on additional tasks and projects, as assigned.
As Product Manager, you have a minimum of
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in product management, product marketing or general management.
- 3+ years’ experience as an API product manager for a B2B2C product.
- 3+ years’ experience working in the banking, payments, and/or fintech industry, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges involved, such as compliance, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection.
- Deep technical knowledge and experience designing scalable, flexible platforms.. Expertise in third-party integrations, SDKs, and APIs.
- Possess strong experience with API solutions, with hands-on proficiency in Postman for testing, development, and debugging.
- Demonstrate cross-functional flexibility by effectively operating in multiple roles: serve as a business analyst to gather and define requirements, act as a scrum master to facilitate agile practices, and fulfill product owner responsibilities to prioritize and manage the development backlog.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, operating with a sense of urgency to deliver customer value and find product market fit.
- Demonstrated ability to frame complex analytical problems, pull data, and extract insights that led to tangible business results.
- Worked with one or more large enterprise-level organizations to build a highly scalable product from the ground up.
- Strong technical aptitude, especially in understanding backend API dependencies and aligning with engineers on implementation (ability to understand the tech stack conceptually; its strengths and limitations).
- Experience working with offshore teams.
- Experience working with lean and MVP methodology.
- The ability to easily engage in both business-focused and technology-focused conversations.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to internal executive stakeholders and external customers
